Rejecting tasks/requested items from Employee Center Portal not prompting for comment box

Hello,

 

When someone is approving requested item tasks through the employee center portal when clicking reject it doesn't prompt for a comment box like OOTB. 

 

Checked the Approval widget and the rejected variable is clearly defined but no pop up box is showing up for a explanation of why the req_item is being rejected.

Greetings @KU19. Are you expected to see a pop-up / modal asking for a rejection reason? For testing purposes, I stood up my Personal Developer Instance (PDI) and created a test Flow that generated an Approval record. I then went into the Employee Center to find the generated Approval within "My Tasks". I then clicked on the "Reject" button without providing any additional input. I did NOT receive a pop-up box but did receive an error message. Is this the expected behavior you are looking for? Is the issue that you are NOT seeing the large text box "Do you want to approve the following:..."?

I checked in ESC and it happens OOTB

are you checking in SP portal?  If yes then many customers are moving to ESC portal
