Hello,
I'd like to know how to implement content restriction in taxonomy Employee Center. I want to restrict one of the child topics of the taxonomy, so for example when I enter HR from "Mega Menu" some subtopics should be visible only for managers.
How do I do that?

To add to Rob's reply, a Topic will display only when a user has access to the Connected Content within in it.
- For Knowledge articles, that means you will need to use Can Read user criteria.
- For Catalog Items, you'll need to use Available for user criteria.
- for Quick Links, you'll need to set Available for user criteria.
Good luck!

Hello,
Any restrictions you already have in place do become relevant on the portal.
For an example, we are a global company, and many hr services/requests/record producers/catalog items, that have restrictions such as: available for/hr criteria, etc.., do work when using the mega menu and topic pages. Same goes for knowledge articles.
Here is our mega menu as I am an the US (keeping in mind I am also an admin):
Here is someone over in the Netherlands - they do no use Tuition Reimbursement as the U.S. does. As we have that catalog item not available for them, it does not show up:
Our experience with keeping certain restrictions carries over from the backend onto the Portal. We also have certain services that only managers can see, that regular employees will not.
I hope this helps - cheers,
-Rob

Where exactly in the backend you set up rules for this?

When you are on, let's say a record producer, you have the ability to say, from your HR Criteria, who the record producer is for.
Here we have a catalog item(HR Service) for US Business Visitor. At the bottom of the record producer form, you have tabs under Related Links. Two of those tabs are Not Available for, and Available for.
And you can select your HR Criteria that matches your requirements for who can view/not view the service. Here is a quick example of criteria we have that can be selected.
In case you have not done any criteria before, here is a link from SN Docs:
Let me know if you have more questions regarding any of this and I will try my best to answer.
Cheers,
-Rob

Hello Rob,
Thanks for this insight and can you please share the setting of "Tuition/ Subsidy" topic in the mega menu as we don't see an option to add a User/HR criteria at the topic record level. Thanks in adv for your reply.
