Triggering an email notification to users when new content (e.g., banner) is published to ESC

I'm looking for some guidance on how to configure the triggering of an email notification to the user population when a new Content Experience Banner is published to the Employee Center.  I see Banner and Notification listed as the platforms to choose from, but how would get these to work together?  For example, I want to publish a Banner regarding some announcement and with that announcement the user population (using audience/criteria) would receive an email notification informing them of the announcement.  Is this possible?

@jaspiranti you can achieve this two ways.

1. Content Publishing: Create banner content and notification content and schedule them per your requirement with audience, date & time.

2. Content Experiences (campaign): Create & publish a campaign with audience, date & time. Create bundle with banner content and notification content.

Based on the schedule banner will appear in the portal and email will be sent out. To better manage content for your scenario I suggest using campaigns, you can choose trigger type and refine audience as well.
