I have added a Catalog Item into Employee portal. But I am unable to search and access the catalog item. Although I can able to access the catalog item by replacing the sys id of a working catalog. Even I am able to access it through quick links, taxonomy topic. But I am not able to search it. I have verified the AI Search configuration, the filter is accurate, it should return the catalog item. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Additional information: No search is false and hidden on service portal is False

Check and try below:
- Navigate to Service Portal > Portals
- Open your portal (in my case its employee center)
- Set the 'Search Application' field to 'ESC Portal Default Search Application'
Accept the solution and mark as helpful if it does, to benefit future readers.

Hi @Saravana3
If it loads directly but not via search, the issue is likely with search indexing or visibility rules.
- Check for any other catalog, if it is searchable.
- Impersonate with any other user and check.
- Sometimes the search index may not be updated. Try:
- Re-indexing the catalog item.
- Clearing the platform cache (cache.do).
Steps to Rebuild the Search Index for Catalog Items
Navigate to Text Indexes:
- Go to the Application Navigator.
- Type and open: System Definition > Text Indexes.
Find the Catalog Item Index:
- In the list, look for the table: sc_cat_item (this is the table for Service Catalog Items).
- Click on the record to open it.
Rebuild the Index:
- In the top-right corner, click the "Rebuild Index" button.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
Wait for Completion:
- Depending on the number of catalog items, this may take a few minutes.
- You can monitor progress in the System Logs > Indexing Log.
