Upgradation from employee center to employee center pro

We are planning to upgrade EC portal to EC pro, so my question is after upgrade will it change the UI, widgets and theme of my current EC portal to OOB EC pro?

HI Chandrashekhar,

Technically, both Employee Center and Employee Center Pro are the same portal (i.e., /esc). Employee Center Pro simply provides access to additional capabilities and widgets applied to the existing Employee Center.

Organizations that upgrade from Employee Center to Employee Center Pro, do not have to re-design their portal unless their implemented portal is heavily customized.

The following table highlights the key differences between Employee Center and Employee Center Pro.

Outcome	A modern service delivery portal that is designed for single to multi-departmental service delivery.	An employee destination site that helps drive portal consolidation and intranet modernization.

Some parts, like untouched widgets, etc are indeed updated. Though for example, if you touched the portal record itself, you own it and it won't get updated! So you would need to manually update it.

If upgrading from ESC (Employee Service Center) to EC Pro, it will change the widgets and theme. Be sure to add the new CSS Includes, that are on the EC Theme, to your Theme if you revert back to your original one.
