For an IT service organization transitioning to Employee Center (ESC) from the Service Portal, recommended taxonomy nodes (L1, L2) are:

  • L1 (Top-level/Parent nodes):

    • Hardware

    • Software

    • Network

    • Browse IT

  • L2 (Child nodes/examples):

    • Data Center Management

    • Hardware Support

    • Software Management

    • IT Management and Consulting

    • Network Support

    • Software Support


These nodes are part of the default IT taxonomy in Employee Center and are also reflected in the Service Portfolio Management sample content. You can use these as a starting point and further customize or expand them to fit your organization's need
