Hello,
I am interested in the ESG functionality and was pleased to see the recent launch of the Sustainable IT plugin, however despite it showing that it is installed I don't see it's functionality appearing.
Forgive me if I am overlooking something.
I have installed the plugin on a dev instance of Vancouver.
The instance shows that the plugin is installed and I can choose the application scope, yet I don't see a menu item appearing to access the workspace.
The documentation states that the Hardware Asset Plugin has to be installed and activated.
I seem to be able to access the asset management workspace, assuming this is what is being referred to, but what am I supposed to activate to get Sustainable IT to work?
Thanks in advance for any input.
KR
Colin

Hello @Colin Chalmers,
Are you trying to install the plugin in your PDI?
If Yes, then I don't think you will be able to install it, as HAM (sn_hamp) is not included in your PDI plugin suite.
Kind Regards,

Hi Colin,
Thanks for your question and sorry to hear about your troubles with the Sustainable IT app for ESGM. To start, I wanted to ensure you had the relevant product information and documentation in once place.
Sustainable IT App:
Requirements
- Required plugins and products to use this feature
- ServiceNow ESG Management, (ESGM), which is installed when this application is installed
- ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
- NOTE: this is not installed as dependency but is expected to be active.
- ServiceNow Store App
- Product Documentation
- Upcoming Webinar on Sustainable IT – Sept 12th
Next, have you been able to review and confirm that you have the required licenses/dependencies installed as listed on the STORE for the Sustainable IT app?
If yes to the above as both an ESGM / HAM Pro licensed customer, I would recommend opening a Now Support case ticket where this issue can be further reviewed.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Thanks for your input, although I had already seen this before trying to install.
I started the process afresh, using Utah instead of Vancouver. The dependencies seem to be installed and the plug-in itself is registered as being installed but alas not menu item or Sustainable-IT functionality.
It's a pity, this could have great benefits for companies using Digital Sustainability to reduce their emissions but doesn't seem to be easy to get working.

Hi Colin,
Are you not seeing a new icon below the Home page icon on the ESG workspace? Or are you seeing it and when clicking on it, does not show data? After installation you should be seeing a new icon on the ESG workspace. The dashboard will show the different widgets that we are shipping. These widgets are powered by metric definitions that we are shipping OOTB with the plugin. By default, they are in 'Inactive' state. So, you would need to go to the Automated, Manual, and Calculated metric definition list views and remove the 'Active' filter and then activate those. There are 25 metric definitions we are shipping.
Let me know if this helps.
