Good Day to All,
I am a 17 year information assurance/cyber security specialist finding it difficult to get a commitment from a company that offers long term career paths. Moreover, I'll be hired for a project, then upon completion, I will get laid off due to company work opportunities dring up. I can look at this work cycle from a glass half full or empty perspective, I chose half full. Meaning the wealth of experience, success, and lessons learned on various different government and defense agencies makes me a valuable candidate. Therefore, Want to take all my work knowledge and leverage it with one of the best information technology service management platforms I have ever work with. So with that said I have a few questions to the Fourm the can help me channel my efforts.
1. How do I begin to leverage my skillset with Service Now
2. What training certifications do I start with
3. Is there a Service Now employment role that I should be targeting
Thank you in advance for viewing my concerns, and please let me know your thoughts.
Warm Regards,
Ernie

Hi @networketc ,
ServiceNow has modules like Security Operations (SecOps) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Your background aligns well with these areas, as they focus on incident response, risk management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your familiarity with various government and defense workflows makes you an ideal candidate to design and implement automated workflows within ServiceNow, reducing inefficiencies.
In market we have very few resource available for GRC module so demand for this module is bit high due to lack of resource.
But first you need to understand the fundamental of servicenow. You should start learning ServiceNow fundamental and try to get certified in it first and then start learning on GRC module. For best package and increasing getting hire for GRC module i would suggest you to do GRC certification as well.
You can learn ServiceNow fundamental from NowLearning or from my channel to get the real concept
