Change color of button text in UI Builder

Hi community,

Hoping for a solution on below - 

Within Compliance workspace, I have a requirement to somehow highlight the count of Overdue records under My Tasks in the right side (highlight in yellow) - 

These counts are basically configured as buttons and data binded.

I have tried to change the color by writing css code but it does not work. Since, this is a button, I don't have the option to configure color as I did for Overdue score cards - 

Can anyone help me with changing the color of those buttons either with css code or configuration?

@Community Alums I don't need to set the color on the text "Overdue", instead I need to set the color of the 0(zero) that's showing beside Overdue
