Entire IRM module was down.

I hope you're doing well, guys.

 

I have an incident with a customer where the entire MRI module went down, but came back on after a day.

The customer wants to know what caused the problem.

 

I have no idea where to start investigating.

Could you give me a way? At least to start.

Based on this little information, it would be very dubious to make a statement.

You will need to raise a HI/ Support case with Servicenow, nobody can give you the reason here.
