Hello Experts,

Has anyone came up with a solution to delegate an attestation to another person, when he/she is not available?

I have checked with ServiceNow, and they confirm, they dont have that option out of box.

So I wanted to check, if anyone has a custom solution.

Exactly. It's a must have.

I think lot of people may be using indicators, which can be assigned to a group.

But I have to use attestation for now. If there is no other option, I would have to create a field in Profile called Delegate and create a UI action in the control to take ownership if you are a delegate, which will update the attestation as well. But wanted to check, if anyone have a better approach.

If the Attestation has been created, it can be reassigned.  Prior to creating the Attestation, you can can change the Respondent if the state of the control is Draft.

Useless tip: You can also change in Attest, but that wont do anything! 🙂

The intention here is that a delegate is always there who could respond to an attestation of an owner.

If we provide option to the Compliance team to regenerate the attestation or reassign the attestation, thats a manual work for them, which I am trying to avoid.

This is a very common request and although I have approached this in a few ways in the past, I have just logged the idea:

as it would be great to see this solved in the baseline product
