GRC Plugins Installation Issue

Hi ServiceNow Community,

I have been encountering a peculiar issue for the past week while trying to install GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) related plugins in ServiceNow. The main plugins required for GRC functionalities are not appearing in the list of available plugins. Interestingly, the dependency plugins for GRC are visible and can be accessed without any issues.

This situation has left me puzzled and unable to proceed with the necessary installations for GRC. I am wondering if this is a known issue, possibly related to the Xanadu release, or if there might be another underlying cause that I'm not aware of.

Has anyone else faced a similar problem, or does anyone have insights into what might be causing this issue? Any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

@Simon Hendery ,

I appreciate your response. The reason I mentioned "usually" is not because I have to do this every time I upgrade, but because I encountered an issue where my installed plugins in Xanadu disappeared. I tried to understand the issue but found no clue, so I moved back to the Washington version and reinstalled all the plugins, and now I am making use of them. The reason for raising this question in the community is that I was not able to see the plugins I required on the list. However, my issue has now been resolved, and I thank you for that.

Thanks for the update @SaiManaswiA. I'm pleased to learn you have resolved the issue.

Hey Simon, my apologies for the delayed response. It turned out to be an instance‑related issue. After exploring all possible options, I released the instance and created a new one, after which I was able to install all the required plugins as needed.

Hey @SaiManaswiA

Have you achieved what you were looking for? If not, start by going to the legacy plugin installation mode. It becomes easier if you use the filter on the left-hand side by selecting Governance, Risk, and Compliance, and then choose install/update (it's fine if you do not select anything). Try this view, and if it doesn't work, do a plugin sync. There is a button provided on the page.

Hi @anuragtiwar ,

Thank you for checking in on the issue. I tried both the legacy and classic methods, but I'm not sure why the problem occurred. I checked with a few others as well, and they too faced the same issue. This happened last week, and I'm not certain if it was some downtime or another problem. However, I have installed the plugins on the Washington version and am currently making use of them. But I do appreciate the heads-up and your assistance.

Thank you,
Manaswini

Hey, thanks for the response. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case I had already verified it earlier.

This turned out to be an instance‑related issue, so I released the instance and created a new one, after which I was able to install the plugin successfully. While it’s a bit tedious, this was the only solution I could arrive at after trying multiple options.
