Questions about the Regulatory Change Management application - TRRI and manual "Regulatory alert" creation

Hello,

I was recently evaluating the Regulatory Change Management application and had a couple of questions that I couldn't find in the documentation or by exploring the PDI.

1. Is there a full listing of what regulatory domains or bodies Thompson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence (TRRI) provides alerts for through ServiceNow?

2. Also, is there any way to manually create a "Regulatory alert" object (without it coming from an RSS feed or TRRI) that can then be walked through the impact assessment process?

Hi Rick,

1. I will suggest you refer to the Thomson Reuter's website to get more details on their content. You can refer to this and their product brochure. They keep adding new content to TRRI and hence it is best to check with them directly. In terms of what ServiceNow's Reg Change solution can support, it can support any content from TRRI. The way it works is that if you have a TRRI subscription, you can select the content you want to import into Reg Change in the TRRI portal, and configure the feed. It will then be imported into ServiceNow's Reg Change solution at the frequency you configure in Reg change (Daily, Weekly etc.)

2. We have restricted the ability to create  a "Regulatory alert" object manually through the ACLs ('nobody'). You can update it accordingly to remove that restriction to allow manual creation.

I am also having similar use case to create the alerts manually. Just wanted to check that will there be any implications on creating manual alerts? Also is it acceptable to create new fields on alerts?

You can create the alerts manually by removing the restriction I mentioned in my previous comment. No implications as such. You can also add new fields on alerts as per your business requirement.
