Servicenow report shared with public role. Wanted to check why this was shared with public role and what is the impact if we remove it.

There is one OOB report named 'Security Incidents Closed (Running 7 days)'. This report shared with public role. is there any reason why this was shared with public role and what is the impact if we dont share it with public role.

The report you are referencing is part of the base reports that come with Security Incident CISO Overview with Security Analytics and it is populated regardless if it is activated or not.

I do not believe that out of the box functionality would make the report restricted but I cannot be sure without exploring your role permissions and performance analytics set up.
Here is a link that describes activating performance analytics subscription for additional reference. Unfortunately, without knowing more about how you system is configured it is difficult to accurately respond to a single use case.
