Hi Team,
I want to update the metric question on the assessment form for self-assessment, but I do not want to impact previously submitted assessment records. I have tried updating the metric question, but it is impacting the previously submitted assessment. I have also tried updating the metric type but it is working in PDI but not working in the instance.

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. If you update a question, it updates it for all, because that's where the answers are coming from. You can create a new question and inactivate the old one, so you get new answers.
Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply.
Let me explain the scenario
I want to update the question for the newly generated assessment, I don't want to change anything on the previously submitted assessment.
As soon as you inactivate the old question, it will not show up in the previously submitted assessment( if we check the completed assessment, then we will not see the question).

I agree with @Mark Manders, changing metric mid-process is not advisable, always introduce a new metric.
From the example shown in your pictures, it seems that you are merely evaluating a single instance/occurrence.
The behaviour from the Technical Engineer in this instance has no bearing on the previous instance/occurrence. Therefore these could be seen as discrete evaluations (not the case where you want to bring across previous responses).
I would therefore suggest retiring the old assessment type / metric type and introducing a copy with the amended metrics going forward.
When viewing completed assessments, this retains the integrity of past question to response, as well as present question to response relationship.
