There is no data in the field, but it is showing the asterisk in gray color

Hello All

We have 2 fields, Which have UI Policy to make them mandatory, but when we see the form one field have red Asterisk and other field in gray Asterisk, but there is no any data in that multiline text, but when we are submitting the form, it is showing as that field is mandatory.

Kindly let me know any suggestion. (Screenshot attached)

As per your screenshot, it means that if Resolution code is filled , then Resolution notes would also be in red , which would mean it's a mandatory field.

no, If I have selected something in the "Resolution code" also the "Resolution Notes" is  still in grey color.

red color indicates mandatory field and field is not yet having any value

gray asterisk means field is mandatory and field has value and you are ok to submit

Seems your multi-line has some value in it.

Did you check if there is a space entered in that multi-line?

If that field doesn't have any value then it should show red asterisk and if user is able to submit then it looks like a platform bug.
