Asset Audit without Agent app

Hello team,

I would like to perform Audit of Assets without using the mobile app. We have physical  barcode  scanners using which we will be doing the stock take. can some one please walk me through the process. I am reading https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-it-asset-management/page/product/hardware-asset-management/t...  which talks about using the agent app.

We are looking to see if this is an option as well for us as an alternative if not all have the app.  I found the table where the scanned results go - sn_hamp_m2m_audit_asset - I figured we could use the scan gun results to query the asset table and return the display name needed for the table but there is something else in the backgound that compares it to the expected assets and gives a result so I am not sure a manual load would work (and its a multi step process which defeats the purpose).

I agree, there needs to be an alternative for uploading from a standard barcode scanner without using the Agent Mobile app on a smartphone.  Not all employees have a corporate issued smartphone and it is not cost effective for everyone to have one.

Any update on this? Seems counterproductive to have this be a mobile only function.  We need a way to perform these audits in the full interface with a standard Zebra barcode scanner connected to a laptop or mobile workstation in our warehouse.
