Can I use a third party barcode scanner without having HAM PRO?

Like the question states, can we use a third party barcode scanner to scan assets into ServiceNow without having to subscribe to HAM PRO. I am not interested in using the Mobile App as cellular devices are now allowed in our work environment. Thank you in advance!

Yeah we are looking at the cheap plugins, we think they would work perfect. Do you know if they could be integrated without having to purchase HAM PRO?

From reading some of the ones for sale on Amazon, I think it’s just plugin and play because it’s classed as an input device.

 

Hover over the asset no. field and it should populate. This is interesting though let me know how I goes.
