Hello,
We recently configured the SCCM Service Graph Connector and are running in to two issues with data being change when the import completes.
Both the model name and assigned to fields are being overwritten with what is in SCCM instead of the models we have created and the user we have assigned the asset to. I would still like this information to be populated if the fields are empty but would like to prevent the changing of these fields during the data import.

For Model Name input from SCCM may be reliable, with some exception. HAM Admin team can do this as part of DQ checks and can refer manufacturer's web sites.
For "AssignedTo" refer article SCCM 2016 - Some useful hints. Need not to import "AssignedTo" value from SCCM. Can be updated with other ITAM processes linked with New Joiners/Movers/Leavers/Service Catalogues. Hope this will help.

This question looks like it hasn't fully been answered and I'm seeing this issue with a client I'm working with. Couldn't you use Reconciliation Rules to prevent Model ID and Assigned to from being updated by SG-SCCM?
You could create a Reconciliation Rule for "Manual Entry" and only apply it to Assigned to or other fields like Model ID you don't want SCCM to change. In a typical asset management process you'd already have those Assets/CIs created via procurement/when you receive the asset so you wouldn't want model to change once it's in ServiceNow.
