Hello All
We are setting up computer data in my company. We have set up model category as computers. Is there any field (out of the box) to classify, if this computer is a Desktop/Laptop/MacBook

If you are using HAM pro, the hardware models record (i.e. in cmdb_hardware_product_model table) will have a 'Normalization' tab. There will be a field named 'Device type' (see attached screenshot) here which can be populated with values like Notebook Computers, Tablet Computers etc. HAM - Hardware Normalization scheduled job which runs daily will automatically update the 'Device type' from the content services for most of the models which it is able to normalize (i.e. again only if you are using HAM pro). The 'Device type' field is editable so that it can be modified if it is either incorrectly populated or not populated by normalization scheduled job.
If you are not using HAM pro, a possible solution will be to make use of the 'Chassis type' or 'form factor' fields in cmdb_ci_computer so that the data is captured in the asset's corresponding CI record.

Hello @Nancy HP ,
There is no OOTB field to segregate as desktop laptop or monitors . What you can do is create new entries in model category as you know it is a list field so multiple selections are allowed into that field.
Thanks
