Standard Hardware Asset Request - How to find associated asset(s)?

I'm new to HAM and am trying to understand the request process a bit more. When using the OOTB Standard Hardware Asset Request flow, everything seems to work as intended but how do you find what asset is assigned to that RITM? For example, I request a laptop and it was sourced from stock and confirmed via stage/consume asset task. A catalog task is created to deploy the task but how would the person who owns that task find the asset that needs to be deployed? The configuration item field on both sc_task and sc_req_item is empty and the related list for Asset is empty. So, where is this information stored? How does the deployment owner find the asset(s) that need to be deployed?

In the OOTB Standard Hardware Asset Request, a specific asset isn’t linked at the RITM or task level initially. When sourced from stock, only the model and stockroom are known. The actual hardware asset is linked/created during deployment, so the fulfiller uses the requested model and quantity to pick the asset, and the system associates it afterward.

Thank you for the clarification. Can you explain how the system associates that asset after the pick/deployment? We have a few different stockrooms and generally, different groups are responsible for different model categories. For example, Networking responsible for network gear, Service Desk computers, System Admins servers, etc. but often enough, all these assets live in the same stock room. How would you recommend we ensure the appropriate team gets the pick and deploy task?
