Entering computer accessories into ServiceNow ITAM

My Team has been tasked with entering computer accessories into ITAM in order to track the inventory we have. Most of the accessories are disposable items that we dont expect to get back, such as mice and keyboards. But management still wants them tracked. We are very new to ITAM and would appreciate any advice on the easiest way to do this. There arent serial numbers to use, like with the computers, so we really just want a way to load the information into ServiceNow to just show how many we have and how many we have given out to our customers. Is a source request task necessary in the workflow? Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated! Thank you!

You need to track them as consumables in the alm_consumable table. You can check the following thread for some best practices to manage consumables.
