How to modify model category

According to https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/tokyo-it-asset-management/page/product/product-catalog/task/t_Edi... it should be possible to modify existing model categories.

As a example I would like to change this category  "Tablets" to apply on CI-Class "cmdb_ci_pc_hardware", but i can not update the CI-Class. So do i need to DELETE this Category first and then create it new?

It seems that some attributes like CI-Class and Asset-Class can not be modified after creation of a category. Is this correct?

Hello Ahmet Damli, I am in the same situation where integrations populate the CMDB class/table: "cmdb_ci_handheld_computing," but under the model category "Mobile Devices" (which is listed in the HAM resource category), it is associated with the CMDB class: "cmdb_ci_comm_hardware." I wanted to try deleting and reinserting it with the same name using the CMDB table where the integrations populates. Which approach did you follow, and what was your result? Thank you!

Hey all! @Alec Hanson I looked at your other post as well, Intune Mobile Device CI Class & Model Category lin... - ServiceNow Community

We are running into similar issues. We've had the Intune SG successfully running for quite a while, but are currently looking at improving our lifecycle process and implement HAM Pro.
We noticed that the 'handheld devices' that Intune was bringing over did NOT have any asset records so I figured it would be a simple fix by either creating a new model category or associating an existing one with that CI class. Then the real oddity started.
In our lowest instance we were able to edit the CI Class field on the Mobile Device model category. When we looked in our other instances we could not edit that field.
We then proceeded to create assets in the lowest instance with the Mobile Device model category we just linked to the Handheld Computer Devices CI class. It created assets for the majority of them, but when we looked at the models for them the model category is 'NOT_AVAILABLE'.

At this point I'm going to create a case with SNOW as I'm not really sure what is going on.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Could the Model Category change be done using  a "Data Management" job?
Thinking this would be handy if you had to move a number of assets from one Model Category to another.
