Sub locations in Stockrooms

Paulo Andrielli

Hi all, I hope you are all doing well.

Here, we work at a granular level of locations that includes sites, buildings, floors, blocks, rooms, desks, and racks (for servers). Is it possible to define the same hierarchy within a stockroom?

We have some large stockrooms where it would be useful to manage them in a more granular way, showing on which shelf or position the assets are located (for items “in stock”). The only way I see today is to mark them as “in stock,” select a stockroom, and then change the asset location to another place that is not the parent of that stockroom. However, this approach seems "illegal".... 😅

I appreciate any comments or suggestions on this.

Hi @Paulo Andrielli ,

I think Pallets, Aisles and Spaces is the useful OOB solution for your concern . These features are available only if you have HAM pro license. Please check this video.

You have the capability to generate Pallets for storing and transferring assets. Aisles and spaces enable asset managers to meticulously monitor specific locations within a stockroom. This video tutorial will guide you through the process of creating and storing pallets effectively.
