Unmanaged and dummy assets

Dear Team, 

In case of having unmanaged assets  ( A device which is not agent-based or even managed by common protocol like SNMP, ) I am looking for a way to work with such kind of assets for control and managed? Is that all done manually ?

It completely depends on what kind of automation you have. If you truly have nothing in place to manage them, yes, then you have to do it manually. You could put some automation in place, depending on your requirements, but if you don't have anything in place telling you anything about it, it's impossible to have the platform do it for you.

If agentless/ agent based discovery is not possible, then find out if the it is present on third party app. Integration is always better then manually updating it. If the devices can no be done by any of these ways then create a data source, create a templet, use IH ETL to load the data. Do data certification every 6 or 12 month based on policies in organization. 

Please not anything you add manually will be pain to manage until you have a governance setup. 

Also as you posted this in HAM, share the product details. They may be consumables.
