I need to give my agents the ability to add a task to a case ad-hock/on the fly. When the agent opens the case and decides they need a task, they click the Related Links -> Add Task link. They are then taken to the HR Task, New Record form. If they select a Template value, I would expect the task fields to update based on this template...however this is not happening. When they choose the template value, nothing happens.
I have created an HR Template called "Onboarding: Visa Clearance" (attached screen shot) with default values identified for Short description, Task Type, State, Description (rich_description), but none of these are applying when the template is selected.
Is there something else that is needed to apply the template and its default values?

I found the solution, there is an OOTB Client Script called "Set fields from Template" that was disabled in our environment. Once I enabled this Client Script everything worked as expected.
