You do need to create user experience analytics settings for your portal first:

You could do that manually, though you could also install reporting plugins. Have you considered that? For example User Experience Analytics.

Hi
Thanks for the documentation link.
So I understand once I was enabled the user experience settings only we can track the usage of users from portal. I have enabled it now.. Is there any possibility to see the old usage ie for the last 3 months?
