Difference between HR Enterprise Lifecycle events and "Normal" lifecycle events Plugin

Hi Folks,

I have read that the Lifecycle event in the basic subscription model cannot create tasks for other departments but HR. But it seems that it is possible to create a task for IT from the Lifecycle event.

Did I get it right that I can create a Lifecycle event with the basic subscription model and assign tasks to different departments?

Best Regards,

Max

Functionally the two plugins are essentially the same. It comes down to a licensing question and based on the subscription you have determines how you can use the Lifecycle Events capabilities.

With an HRSD Professional license, Lifecycle Events can be used for personal and professional events where fulfillment is performed only by HR. This excludes enterprise / multi-departmental events, such as Onboarding, Offboarding, and Transfers.

With an HRSD Enterprise license, Lifecycle Events can be used for full multi-departmental events, such as Onboarding, Offboarding, Transfers, and others.

Hi Kevin,

thank you very much for your response.

I installed the professional Lifecycle Events plugin and I was able to create (fulfiller) tasks for different groups with people from different departments (HR, IT, Finance). So I did not understand what it means that the Enterprise edition is able to use it for several departments because I can do it already with the professional one. Can you drop a few words on this issue too?

That would be great 🙂

My guess is that it is because of the release of your instance. Prior to Orlando there was no technical limitation on what you could do.  It was contractual, licensing item that would only be monitored via auditing. The key is understanding what your organization was licensed for so you know what you can and cannot be doing.
