How to enable 'Appointment category' in Schedule appointment widget

Hi,

I’m trying to enable the 'Appointment category' drop-down in the ‘Schedule appointment’ widget (widget name 'EE Appointment booking').
Has anyone done this before or knows how to configure this so it becomes visible?

you can see that this is available in ServiceNow demo according to the documentation but I cannot find it enabled OOB.

@miro2 - On the schedule appointment page, click Control+right click on the 'EE Appointment Booking' widget as shown in the screenshot, and then click instance options. Then, on the pop-up window, click the check box 'Show Categories' as shown in the screenshot.

Hi @miro2
I don;t think its OOB configuration.
Check out the below community post which might help you to build the custom one.

Hi @J Siva no, we don't need to build a custom one. It's already built into 'EE Appointment booking' widget under HTML body.

I have a fresh Zurich PDI and I don't see the category so I assuming in ServiceNow demo, they customized it, or there is some configuration I missed after setting up Appointment booking configuration

Also here @Richard Smith didn't mention anything about category in his threads.
I mapped the topic as the category in Walk-up location according to SN docs but still I don't see Appointment category.

@miro2 Hmm understood..let me go through the docs again.

Hi @miro2 - Appointment Category is an OOB field. While configuring the walk-up location queue, you need to map taxonomy topic to each walk-up location. For e.g. I create a Santa Clara walk-up location and map it to the Taxonomy topic 'Human Resources' which is essentially one of the appointment categories. Once you've mapped these topics, on the front end experience, from the instance configurations, you need to enable categories by clicking the check box against 'Show Categories'.
