Onboarding inconsistencies

Hi guys,

I want to set a demo instance with the full features of HRSD. But on San Diego version there are so many inconsistencies and after I install the plugins a need to spend a lot of time configuring the things to work properly.

The new problem I found is about the onboarding process. When I create the request for onboard, the new employee is created and receive the “new hire” role, but the new user has full access to the HR portal and can request anything. The user should have access only to his own tasks until the starting date be reached. I have done many tests and even tho I adding the starting date for an year ahead, the user receives full access for the portal, campaigns, IT stuffs and can even access the platform.

Does anybody knows what is wrong here?

thank you

Have you migrated to Employee Center (EC) Pro from ESC?  OOB, EC Pro does not include all the new hire specific content.  You will need to secure the content that appears in EC to exclude new hires.  If you like at the Audience for the schedule content, I believe OOB it is for all active users now which would include your new hires.

Hi @Thiago Ferreira ,

The "New Hire" role was supposed to give you with access to Employee center as a whole, it's the usual behavior.

Now it's on you how you want to limit access to see what? to whom? , for this you can use User criteria  for the HR catalog, even for the catalog items which is part of the HR catalog, Knowledge articles.

Coming back to the Tasks/ activities being assigned can be controlled by the "Audience" in the activity.

Mark my answer correct & Helpful, if Applicable.

Hi Sandeep,

I don't agree this is the usual behavior. At least until the Quebec version, the onboarding process was very smooth and after the user has been created, he had access to some widgets as the days counter for starting date and only tasks and interactions related to the onboarding process, after that he had access to some contents like videos, training and after the starting date, the user receives the employee role and also the full access to the portal.

It doesn't make sense to give full access to the user at the right beginning of the onboarding process and allow it to request anything. I know I can edit it, but this was an out-of-the-box functionality.

On this new version, ever the days counter is not shown anymore, even tho the widget is on the system and active.

You are correct , even i meant the same .Nobody will have access to the whole portal anyways. it's the few widgets which is made public or you have defined to be visible to the new hires will get displayed.
