I'm curious to know what the HR Document Acknowledgement related list is for on an Lifecycle case. Whenever I sign documents on a case, I would think they would show up in this related list, but nothing ever populates. I can manually add acknowledgements, but is that the purpose of the list?
Im actually looking for a way to get the signatures on the PDF of the document in one place. I thought I could use the Document Acknowledgement list, but it doesn't seem to help.

Hi Abigail,
usually in HR Case lifecycle, HR agent creates E-Signature type HR task to team or individual for signing a document. so please follow the following steps:
- Create HR Task and Select E-Signature as HR task type
- Select Acknowledgment document type
- Start work on the case
- The Assign to person should click on Sign Document when is ready to sign
- Confirm the document that need to be sign then sign and hit accept
- you will find the document show up in the related list

Thanks Ahmed. This was helpful. I have a related question ... I have a task similar to the task above, but I need the Acknowledgement document to be an existing document on the case, not so much a template (Document Revision). The use case is that the client will be uploading a PDF to the case that will be routed for manager signature. Is it possible to 1) sign the PDF using eSignature functionality within SNow, and 2) is it possible to actually show the signature on the PDF?

Hi Abigail,
I think you would be limited on this because in order to use the eSign function an hr admin needs to map the area in which a signature will be added to documents (utilizing the Document Template module).
Question for you, is the document the same one every time? If so, it would be a long-shot, but you might be able to script the signature mapping after the client uploads the file. My understanding is that the signature mapping uses coordinates on the pdf document, so if that signature area is always the same place you could get creative and reuse the coordinates.
Just a thought.
Thanks,
Ali
