Introduction
Before the pandemic, digital transformation was all about competitive advantage. Now, it’s all about survival — and IT is on the front lines. It’s more than keeping everyone connected in a virtual world. If you’re like most of us, your business is under enormous pressure to adapt, whether that’s accelerating the shift to an online business model, working faster and smarter by automating processes, or finding better ways to keep employees safe. And they expect you to deliver the technology that enables this innovation.
Introducing ServiceNow Success Maps
When your business is depending on you, success is the only option. That’s why we’ve launched our new Success Maps. Each Success Map shows you what it takes to successfully achieve a specific outcome using a ServiceNow product or product suite. It provides an overview of best practices that help you to improve planning, increase value, and decrease costs. This includes:
- Insights into foundational and operational processes
- How to deliver value in your initial implementation and then grow that value over time
- Ways to improve efficiency and avoid common pitfalls and costly mistakes
How are Success Maps structured?
Each Success Map is broken down into four distinct sections that show you all the processes and best practices you’ll need to implement, maintain, and get maximum value from your ServiceNow investment:
- The Success Foundations section shows you the things you need to consider when planning, implementing, and maintaining a specific ServiceNow product or product suite. This includes areas such as outcomes, relevant KPIs, in-scope ServiceNow apps, implementation roles, required skills and expertise, project planning, governance, and organizational enablement.
- The Implement section identifies the key business and technical processes you need for successful implementation. This lays out the high-level implementation process flow, including key activities and best practices, while avoiding process details. It also links to a key resource to execute a ServiceNow implementation: Now Create.
- The Run section covers day-to-day platform maintenance activities, as well as ways to assess and maximize the value of your deployed ServiceNow solution.
- The Optimize and Expand section shows you how to optimize the value of your ServiceNow solution by implementing additional products within your current product suite. It also identifies new products you should consider implementing to expand ServiceNow value into other business areas.
