On-Call Schedule with two child schedules.

Hello all,

 

I am having trouble creating a complex schedule for one of my On-Call Assignment Groups. 

 

I have a group that has two shifts. 

 

The first shift is weekday 8-5 (excluding holidays)

The second shift is all the rest of the hours in the week (including holidays)

 

When I set up the schedule for the Weekday work hours, I set a child schedule to exclude holidays. 

 

When I set up the schedule for all non weekday work hours 5-8 and weekends and holidays.   I created a 24x7 schedule for this and set a child schedule to exclude the Weekday work hours and I set a child schedule with the holidays to Include in the calendar. 

 

The final output of this calendar should show that all hours of every day are covered by a shift. Unfortunately in all scenarios the 8-5  work hours on holidays have no coverage. 

It would appear that I would need to set an order on the includes and excludes to create a more complex calendar.  

Has anyone created an on-call schedule that referenced three different schedules?

In your second schedule that is supposed to cover non-working hours and holidays, do both child schedules have a common parent (24x7 schedule) or is one of them a child of the other one?
