What is the use of 'Set up google maps API' feature on Service Portal?

In OOB Service portal, when you open an existing incident, you can find 'Set up google maps API'  option, upon clicking it takes to service documentation page.

What is the use of that?

If you have the google maps API setup this will display a map of the location where the incident is based. This is based on the callers location. If you are not going to set this up you can remove it from the layout of the portal page.
