Portal Breadcrumb not translating

Good Day

I have been searching the community endlessly but cannot seem to find assistance for my issue.

Can someone please assist me?

I am trying to translate the breadcrumbs on the CSM portal. When user clicks on Request Something the breadcrumb displayed does not have a prefix (there is no prefix such as TRF, TRT etc) so I am unsure how to translate it:

Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Bianca

@BiancaK,

Could you validate that your ESC CSM app (and all of it's dependencies) are fully up to date. If you have a customised page could you revert it to the ootb one, as this is a known defect that was fixed in the app version released before Christmas,

Many thanks,
kind regards

Hi @Alex Coope - SN

Thank you for your response. No the page was not customized it is OOTB. Will log a ticket with Hi Support.

Thanks Alex, basically I found a quick workaround without having to log a Hi Support ticket. So once I completed the translations I wanted to conduct testing in the different languages and that is when I saw the error.

My workaround: when changing to a different language, go to the application navigator and type "cache.do" then navigate back to the portal and refresh and the breadcrumb will be in the correct translation (as for me Korean translation). This worked

Hi @BiancaK, great to hear,

So that can happen if you've viewed an area of the UI in that language prior to the translations existing and so your browser tries to be clever and stores (aka cache's) what it comes across. By performing a "cache.do" you essentially would be forcing the browser to re-pull the translation strings once they've been updated.

The bit that surprises me though is that in your screenshot the debugger is not showing a prefix for that breadcrumb component - which was fixed in a release last year,

Many thanks,
kind regards
