Asset Management Physical Inventory

Does anyone complete an annual physical inventory of all assets? If so, is there any native functionality to accomplish this other than manually updating something like a "last seen" field on each asset every time it's physically acted upon and then manually inventorying the remainder that hasn't been inventoried in a year?

Hi Craig,

Asset Audit is a capability that is intended to be used to run Asset inventory checks. OOB this can be done based on a Stockroom or on a Location. 

Until now I have not seen an other 'manual Asset audit' method. In this area you could think of sending out periodically an e-mail to the Asset_Assigned to user asking to confirm the assignment of that Asset. Register this info on Asset level and there you are. Perhaps better: Create periodically an Asset Inventory Request and send an Asset Inventory Request Task or an e-mail to the user. In this way you can also track and trace the manual Asset Inventory process.
