We’re thrilled to announce that ServiceNow ITOM Visibility supports discovery of Equinix Metal servers. Organizations rely on Equinix Metal to activate dedicated physical infrastructure-as-a-service, across 18 global markets, in minutes. Organizations rely on ServiceNow’s ITOM Visibility solutions to gain visibility into their entire technology estate, enabling them to achieve a solid digital foundation (CMDB) for data-driven decision-making across enterprise workflows.

Joint customers can use the ServiceNow Agent Client Collector for Visibility (ACC-V), a feature of ITOM Visibility, to discover configuration details about Equinix Metal servers add them to the CMDB via push-based Discovery. Dependency relationships between the Equinix Metal server, its components, and the installed applications are automatically built. The ServiceNow Agent Client Collector (ACC) can be embedded into the automated Equinix Metal provisioning process to ensure newly deployed hardware can be discovered within minutes.

This level of visibility enables organizations to streamline a multitude of IT processes, including but not limited to increasing efficiencies and reducing risk when planning changes, optimizing software licenses, pinpointing the root cause of outages with AIOps, understanding the impact of incidents / major incidents, and streamlining the buildout of disaster recovery plans.

In April 2021, ServiceNow introduced the Agent Client Collector for Visibility (ACC-V) as part of a unified agent strategy. The Agent Client Collector (ACC) is the foundation, which enables outcomes across IT workflows, including AIOps, security, software and hardware asset management and IT Service Management.

Availability
