We are pleased to announce ITOM Health enhancements available through the Utah family and related store releases.

Since the Tokyo release, our customers have been realizing greater productivity from similar levels of technology labor as they progress on their digital transformations.  They are accomplishing this by adopting platform features that enable them to deeply integrate their technology services and operations.  They are extending AI powered health and management capabilities across their full application stacks using cloud native operations (CNO) and AI powered Service Operations.

Innovations in Utah and recent store releases make deploying cloud-native operations (CNO) even easier.  They provide new tools for efficient discovery and enhance prior health capabilities by reducing noise with normalized alerts, including clustering using tags and simulating alerts. Enhancements to metric intelligence dashboards and metric collection make it easier to track performance over time and on the cloud including the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  Let's take a look:

CNO allows you to automate zero-touch deployment of Kubernetes pre-enabled with self-scaling discovery and health.  CNO was released in the 4th quarter of 2022 and makes it phenomenally fast and easy to deploy, discover, and monitor new container-based applications.  That function can now be extended to your existing cloud and even on-premise infrastructure.

ITOM health innovations in the Utah release also allow you to set tags that define alerts or set tags that group alerts, and the Utah family release of Health also gives you additional options to define events based on any field in a Configuration Item (CI).

With increased flexibility and power in defining events comes the need to test those tags and rules.  Utah also allows admins to simulate alerts even in production using a distinct simulation alert table.

ServiceNow’s ITOM Health is expanding its compatibilities and capabilities with most major public cloud providers including Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  In Utah, you can collect metrics with ACC-M on GCE in GCP.

The Health Log Analytics (HLA) Application available from the ServiceNow store also comes with expanded support for GCP including the ability to send logs directly from the UDP socket.

Upgrading to the latest version of HLA will also enable the ability to test your data connections and troubleshoot the streaming of log data.
