TLS Certificate Management
Certificate Inventory and management store application which got introduced with ServiceNow Orlando release via store.servicenow.com has gone VIRAL! Customer adoption is soaring, and we are helping several customers to proactively monitor the TLS certificate expiry with ITx workflows thereby preventing service outages due to the expiry of TLS certs. The TLS certificate Inventory management store app is certified for Paris Release. Paris update on the TLS Certificate management store application is packed with exciting features like improved discovery coverage with certificate authorities like Entrust, Sectigo, Smart notification with Slack, and more. Let me highlight the key features :
• Discovery of TLS certificates from CA via Pattern: Support extended for Entrust and Sectigo Certificate Authority.
• Bulk Upload Certificate upload with excel spreadsheet.
• Event Management – TLS certificate expiry can create events/alerts and auto-bind the alerts to the expired TLS certificate configuration item.
• Service Mapping customers with URL HTTP entry points can automatically add the URL entry points to the Certificate URL based discovery schedule.
• Slack Integration for proactive notification to the certificate owners.
Cloud Discovery Enhancements
Multi-cloud is quickly becoming the de-facto deployment standard as organizations of all types leverage an ever-increasing variety of cloud services from AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud and IBM Cloud. With the Paris release, we tried to simplify the security dimensions for the service account-based discovery. The Discovery solution supported the discovery of AWS Master to Member accounts via AssumeRole privileges. With the Paris release, customers will be able to use AssumeRole from member to master, member to member, or even cross AWS organization units. Paris release also adds support for GCP Organization ( resource hierarchy ) and Azure Management groups.
