We were trying to enable Global Text Search for End Users and thinking of granting them the text_search_admin role. For testing reasons, granted the role to some User accounts on Sub-Prod. Still normal End Users are not being able to search Incidents, PRBS, CHGs etc. Kindly suggest what could be done over here.

Hi Subhajit,
The text_search_admin role isn't meant to allow people to search and use the global text search tool, it gives them access to change it.
What kind of incidents, problems, changes can't they find? You may simply need to reconfigure your global search settings. I don't remember off hand but at least one setting out of the box is only to show ACTIVE records to non-itil people so if you're searching for a closed record, it won't find it, even with your search admin role.

Hello Subhajit
Navigate to System Properties > Global Text Search.
Under "List of roles (comma-separated) that can use the Global Text Search capability." Add the roles or simply remove all the roles and every user will have access.
