Cat item Export > to show all data (variables, Available For, UI policies) to user friendly format

Dear Community,

how to Export catalog item to display all relevant data, including variables, availability criteria, and UI policies, in a format that's easy to understand for users.

I've already utilized the built-in feature to export data in XML, CVS, Excel, PDF, and JSON formats. However, I need a more straightforward and user-friendly export for a non-technical stakeholder.

Hi @mandamni

No, there is no simple way to do this. What we used earlier, when creating the catalog item and gathering requirements, was an Excel sheet that we maintained every time there were any changes to the item. Now, we are using the same Excel sheet for enhancements as well. This is the only way, or alternatively, you can download it in PDF format, but that is not exactly suited for non-technical operations

One more thing, if you want to see all the associated records of any item, you can go to:

Catalog Item → Context Menu → All"

@mandamni

It depends on what customers use.

Sometimes customers use JIRA tool to maintain stories and track the development.

Few of the customers with whom I worked used the OOB Agile module within ServiceNow.

It allows you to export stories, scrum tasks etc.

If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
