Change Model and predefine Change Tasks

Change Models are used to pre-define fields and set different status flow. Is it also possible to pre-define the Change Tasks in a Change Model?

Hi @Claudia Dahl ,

While Change Models themselves can't pre-define Change Tasks, there are a couple of workarounds you can achieve using Flow Designer!

  1. Automate with Flow Designer Workflows:

    • Leverage Flow Designer to build workflows that trigger Change Task creation based on specific conditions within a Change Request.
    • Design the workflow to automatically generate the corresponding tasks as the Change Request progresses through different stages.

  1. Leverage Task Templates:

    • Utilize pre-defined Task Templates that come with details like descriptions, assignment groups, and due dates.
    • When creating a new Change Task, simply choose the relevant template to populate those common fields, saving time and ensuring consistency.

yes, it is possible. Change model used the Flow designer and we can define the task in flow. You can check the OOTB change model and flow and will solve your issue.
