How can I make an attachment required for an order guide?

I am trying to create an order guide. One of the catalog items will need to require an attachment before the request can be submitted. Is it possible to make this a requirement within the guide?  If it is not available for Rome, will functionality be available with San Diego?

Thank you! This was helpful. However the issue I have is with IT Resolver. There is no attachment icon for the order guide in resolver.

You can make use of "Mandatory Attachment" flag for your catalog item.

This will make sure that attachment is mandatory to submit request for this catalog item.
