How to edit category and sub-cat values of Knowledge.

How to edit category and sub-cat values of Knowledge. 

Even when we add new sub-cat from 'configure choices' its not available when the concern category is selected.

Hi Arun,

Go to the Knowledge Base Record for the Categories you are looking to edit first and make sure the Disable Category Editing checkbox is not marked True.

Then create a new article and choose whichever Knowledge base you want to add a new category to and select the magnifying glass icon on the Category field and the following should display.  Use the + signs at the bottom of the columns to add Categories and Subcategories.

Hi Matt Can you please specify how to navigate to the Facilities knowledge - 'disable category editing'

Hi Arun,

I you navigate to Knowledge > Administration > Knowledge Bases it will bring you to a list of all the Knowledge Bases in the instance.  Each Knowledge Base can be set differently to allow/disallow this editing.

Hi

you do not edit the categories in the choices list, but in the Related list of each Knowledge Base.

There you can create any hierarchy of Categories, as needed.

Remember that one KB article can only be allocated to one Category.
