RITM information on Approval record within Service Operations Workspace

Hi,
Im trying to decide what the best practice would be to populate RITM information on the approval record, within Service Operations Workspace. I know the Approval summarizer formatter won't work within SOW since it's a UI Macro. I thought maybe DOT walking via form layout but the information that can be dot walked to is limited. Would creating a before insert Business rule be the best to grab that information and populate within the approval record? Any guidance or workaround is appreciated!

why would approver visit workspace to approve?
workspace is used by agents who work on the tasks/ritm and not by approvers.
Approvers when navigate to approval record via My Tasks in portal they see RITM variable information there itself.
