We have a service portal for iT, which is the default portal when we switched to ServiceNow. Our Finance team is coming on board with ServiceNow as well. I know we can have as many service portals as we like. What is the best practice approach here? Should we have a service portal for each department/team or just 1 service portal and combine all teams into this 1 service portal?

Hi Pat,
You can look to have separate portals for each Team, or a single portal that covers all teams. I guess it depends on how you want to direct your users to each teams information.
ServiceNow have also recently launched its Employee Center which I believe is available from the Rome release onwards, which comes with a standard version and then a pro version which would require an additional licence. This is meant to be a multi departmental portal so maybe worth a look into - docs here.
There are also some useful youTube videos on this too.
Hope this helps
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,
Thank you for replying. How is your company handling it? Do you have 1 or more than 1 Service Portal?

Hi Pat,
We currently have a single portal covering both IT and HR.
Thanks
Sam
