Hi,
With "Utah" Upgrade this is the first time we are going to use Employee Center. We have not migrated from Service Portal to Employee center yet.
We only have IT Products installed in our instance.
1. I want to create additional Menus.
2. Categories inside the Menus
3. Add Catalog items inside the Categories.
Please help me how can I achieve that?
Thanks,
Vaishnavi

Hello @Vaishnavi35 ,
1. U should go under Topic-> Child Topic -> Connected Content only to "Select" the catalog item not to create. To visible in the portal.
To create(catalogs are created same as whatever we step generally followed go to maintain items and create).
2. For to delete child topics/sub child topics u can set active as "false".
3. Browse all HR/IT Button is OOTB feature if u don't want it, u need to write CSS or other option to remove it.
4. Things which are not visible in mega menu -- it is expected. (For this u need to login and log out ur instance again and wait for few hours it will automatically visible)
Pls make sure for the topics u want to visible in mega menu, should contain at least one connected content.
@Vaishnavi35 , Please click on "Accept as Solution" and "Helpfuls." If my answer works for you.
Thank you.

I don't think you have to convert over when upgrading. It's just something that you can do. I'm not sure I would upgrade and do that at the same time. Both might be a little much. When we move and also when we go to next experience UI, those will be separate from any upgrade activities. Don't want to overwhelm anyone. Just a thought.
There is a ton of content out on the community https://www.servicenow.com/community/next-experience-getting-started/ct-p/next-experience-get-starte...

Hi,
To create additional menus in Employee Center and add categories and catalog items, you can follow these steps:
- Create a new menu:
- Go to "Service Catalog" -> "Catalog Definitions" -> "Menus" and click on "New".
- Enter the name and title of the new menu.
- Set the "Client" field to "Employee Self-Service".
- Click "Submit" to save the new menu.
- Create categories inside the new menu:
- Go to "Service Catalog" -> "Catalog Definitions" -> "Categories" and click on "New".
- Enter the name and title of the new category.
- Set the "Client" field to "Employee Self-Service".
- In the "Menu" field, select the menu you created in step 1.
- Click "Submit" to save the new category.
- Add catalog items inside the categories:
- Go to "Service Catalog" -> "Catalog Items" and click on "New".
- Enter the name and title of the new catalog item.
- Set the "Client" field to "Employee Self-Service".
- In the "Category" field, select the category you created in step 2.
- Fill in the required fields for the catalog item, such as short description, description, and price.
- Click "Submit" to save the new catalog item.
Repeat these steps for each additional menu, category, and catalog item you want to create in Employee Center.
Note that the specific steps to create menus, categories, and catalog items may vary depending on the version and instance of ServiceNow you are using, as well as the specific requirements of your organization. Additionally, you may need to consider the design and layout of your Employee Center pages to ensure that the new menus, categories, and catalog items are easily accessible to users.
Thanks,
Rahul Kumar

Hi Rahul,
I think this is for the Service Portal one and not Employee center.
- Set the "Client" field to "Employee Self-Service". There is no "Client" field on Catalog item form.
We have Upgraded to "Utah" version as I have mentioned.
I want to disable the Service Portal and get Employee center in action. How do I differentiate this?
HELP?
Thanks,
Vaishnavi
