ServiceNow for Amazon GovCloud

We have tried to connect to our AWS GovCloud assets to do Discovery / Orchestration / Catalog Management etc. So far we cannot. We can connect and discover just fine using our cemmercial (partner) SN instnces inclduing personal DEV ones. Is there a specific ServiceNow "GovCloud" appliance or instances that can be deployed? Can a commercial SN instance connect to a AWS GovCloud target? Please let us know any USE CASE or reference. It would be much appreciated.

Angel

Hi Angel,

I don't think there is a specific ServiceNow "GovCloud" appliance or instances that can be deployed. (correct me if I am wrong)

Users who are members of the Virtual Provisioning Cloud Administrators group can create one or more AWS accounts and then configure the system to communicate with those AWS accounts.

Collect the following information about your AWS accounts for use while configuring the instance to communicate with the accounts:

  1. Account number
  2. Access Key ID
  3. Secret Access Key

Role required: cloud_admin, aws_admin

Note: You must have an AWS GovCloud account to access the AWS GovCloud (US) region.

You refer to the below links for your reference,

Thank you Gaurav. This is precisely what we are trying to determine. We are working on a custom demo for a US government client. We have full administrative control of our SNOW instances. Using a full features, DEV SN instance with Cloud Management; Discovery; and Orchestration plugins enabled; we can define and conduct FULL discovery from SNOW commercial to ANY Amazon "Commercial" Cloud assets (EC2). Using the same source SNOW systems we CANNOT get Discovery connection to work against AWS GovCloud. We need to find out if there is a specific configuration special to GovCloud - SNOW integration. A ServiceNow contact told us there is such a thing as GovCloud (Federal?) ServiceNow implementation. I thought I asked here first but we will also post to SNOW support.
