ServiceNow for Amazon GovCloud

We have tried to connect to our AWS GovCloud assets to do Discovery / Orchestration / Catalog Management etc. So far we cannot. We can connect and discover just fine using our cemmercial (partner) SN instnces inclduing personal DEV ones. Is there a specific ServiceNow "GovCloud" appliance or instances that can be deployed? Can a commercial SN instance connect to a AWS GovCloud target? Please let us know any USE CASE or reference. It would be much appreciated.

Resp.,

Angel

We are having the same issue.   Did you get this resolved?

Hi Nancy,

The following thread and it's contents implores that the issue was taken up to S.Now Support.

HI Service Portal - ServiceNow

Contact Support | ServiceNow

However, prior to reaching out to the Support folks, I gave an insight on a few specifics which may help. You can refer to my initial response to this thread.

Sorry, that information was not helpful which is why I posted the question.   We also have a support case open with ServiceNow but it doesn't appear there are very knowledgeable about their own Cloud application.

Oh ok! That is a surprise.. Did you try escalating the issue? maybe some one in their team can answer this better than the current individual handling your concern?

Our incident for this on the HI portal is INT3371255. The SN technical rep on the case has been very responsive; but he could not readily help us. One of our colleagues was attending a SN sponsored training in NYC yesterday and a partner offered that we had to define the "service account for cloud discovery" information for AWS. The reference is found here:

        https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/jakarta-it-operations-management/page/product/discovery/task/crea...

That did not work. The actual error we get (only on GovCloud AWS) is this:

"Method failed: with code: 401 - Invalid username/password combo"

The SNOW CMP cloud credentials definition is very confusing, but at the very least we know it works against a commercial cloud target. Just not GovCloud. We have a US Army CIO awaiting a SNOW capability demonstration that will highlight SNOW - Cloud (Federal) integration but we can't get this to work. Any further assistance would be appreciated.

It would seem the ability to connect to a government cloud would be a highly desirable feature.
