I have a sourcing task that has been created from a request. I can Add a Transfer Order just fine. I can't add a Purchase Order. The button is grayed out.
Procurement module is active, and the catalog item, product model, and vendor catalog item records are created correctly. Since this is blackboxed code I can't see what is driving the button to be grayed out. Wondering is this is a data issue that I am unaware of.
Thoughts?

I have run into this issue before. Most likely your issue is the same as mine: You have not defined and associated a valid vendor on the Software Entitlement record for the item being sourced. You can't add a PO if the entitlement doesn't have a vendor to purchase from.

Hi Jim,
I have also come across the same issue. However i have been able to identify what goes wrong with transfer order. You need to have a value in the model field for the catalog item and also the item should be in "in stock" in the asset table. When i modified those records i was able to see the Transfer order although i still have to identify why the purchase order button in not visible

The issue is that the product model that is linked to the catalog item that is referenced in the RITM must have a company of type vendor. In short, go to the company record, and make sure the vendor flag is set. We set both the manufacturer and vendor flag just to keep things simple. That fixed our issues.
